Sustainability

At mymitchi, we’re committed to creating high-quality athleisure wear while minimizing our environmental impact. Our goal is to design products that are not only stylish and functional but also responsibly sourced and made with the planet in mind.

Yarn Production: The process begins with the creation of yarn from recycled polyamide fibers and elastane. Recycled polyamide is derived from pre- and post-consumer waste, such as discarded fishing nets and fabric scraps, which are regenerated into new nylon fibers. These fibers are then combined with elastane to produce a yarn that offers both elasticity and strength.

Fabric Formation: The yarn is then used to create the fabric through knitting or weaving techniques. A specific knitting process is employed to achieve its soft, compact, and breathable structure.

Brushing Process: To enhance the fabric's unique characteristics, it undergoes a brushing process. This treatment imparts a soft, warm, and natural suede-like hand feel, distinguishing it from other fabrics.

Ethical Manufacturing

Our pieces are the result of a conscious collaboration between two industry leaders in sustainability and craftsmanship. We source our premium fabric from Italy, a mill recognized for its environmental innovation and ethical production. With certifications like OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, Global Recycled Standard (GRS), ISO 14001, and the HIGG Index, they ensure that every fiber meets the highest standards for safety, sustainability, and quality.

Our garments are then expertly crafted in Portugal by a manufacturer committed to quality and responsibility. Certified with ISO 9001:2015. They operate under strict European labor and environmental regulations—ensuring ethical working conditions and minimal environmental impact.
